Legend mode puts players in charge of a desolate village and must complete the various battles in order to win the hearts of the villagers back to the village. To those unfamiliar to the franchise, Dynasty Warriors is a hack-and-slash game that takes its story from the historic battles of Ancient China. I somehow don’t see ancient Chinese history and a story-driven hack-and-slash adventure play well, but its popularity on the Japanese market can’t be wrong, right? Dynasty Warriors is an intriguing videogame series.
